Which mobo is the best for me?

I have the 8320 and am looking to overclock it to 4.0+ GHz. I have the 212 evo.

This is my current motherboard: Current mobo

Now I've read up on this motherboard quite a bit and have found that overclocking on this board is quite terrible and should never be done.

Now I've been looking for other boards and have came across the Asus M5A99FX and the MSI 970

The 970 is $30 cheaper and looks better (imo), but should I go for the more expensive board?

Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

The 970 is cheaper as it's an older chipset, and not that good of a mobo, I'd go with the Asus, the 990 is a good series, I've got a Crosshair and love it, came close to grabing 99FX you are looking at 😉

well, 990 is better for sure, but only if you do work hard on the overclocking with AMD
otherwise, I　think 970 is good to use
