Hello, i have to make a decision : i am using the above graphic card on my asus rog maximus VII hero board and using a samsung 60hz monitor 1900*1080... now i thought may be time for some changes. which monitor can you recommend ? i thought 75hz and WQHD would fit together ?

In general it is the question : should i change the graphic crad and still use the monitor i have, or should i go for new monitor ? both i can t atm :)...moneyprinter broken. i want to play DCS ... thanks for your help

You can do either one, do you want a better quality display or more FPS and higher settings? A 960 is now getting to the point where it's not very good at 1080 at high refresh rates in newer games. Not a bad card, but not a good one when it comes to higher spec setups. Really depends on how much you like how your monitor is. You can upgrade the monitor and the 960 will run fine, even if you have to run it at 60 vs 75 or 144 or something, but you will have a better display. I'd go with a better display then swap out the card later if it was my system. But I like a good monitor setup vs higher FPS.

Thanks, high FPS is not my first aim... mainly i play flight sims like DCS... i am only afraid that due to the restrictions of the 960 i cant choose a realy high end monitor ..so when i buy a new GPU i will have the prob that i have a not fitting monitor.. .. don t know if i am right with that

A 960 is not a bad card, and how good of a monitor you get will not make it run any slower. What you may not get is high FPS at 144 hz at 1080 or higher. My monitor is a 144hz 1080, in Windows it's set to 144, in the main game I play in, World Of Warcraft, the max you can set it to is 120. You can run it at 60 also. Nothing prevents you from getting a better monitor than your card can FULLY handle, you can run it at a lower refresh rate if you need to. The main thing would be the display quality, how do the colors look like to you. My 24" 144hz monitor is smoother and larger than my 22" IPS, but I prefer how the 22" IPS screen looks like. The TN screen looks washed out in comparison.
