Hello, I have been looking for monitors around 300 Australian dollars and have found some decent monitors. One is a 1440p 75hz freesync monitor which is 32 inches by AOC.

The other is a 24 inch monitor that is also 1440p but has a lower refresh rate by asus.

Which monitor would you recommend from the 2 or do you recommend that i go with a 144hz monitor instead.

I also was looking at an lg ultrawide, but the monitor seems to be really short in height.

Honestly, any monitor will be an upgrade for me since I have been using a 1360x768 resolution tv for the past 2 years.

Thanks in advance

32" 16:9 1440p. whatever the refresh rate.

I doubt anyone, apart from a fanatical cs:go player, who says theyd prefer to go with a 24" 144hz over a 32" 1440p 60hz.
Budget is no problem for me and im waiting for high refresh rate monitors to mature. At the moment i'm using the best display quality i believe i can get. (4k isnt ready yet either - GPU tech & scaling issues)

The cheapest is AOC Q3279VWF only $299. thats bargain. Philips $450 Samsung $600
I Love my new screen. 75Hz, 1440p, FreeSync.
I mostly do Photoshop and the color quality is excellent..

$400 on sale for $250

Unfortunately they don't sell that monitor in Australia, and on ebay its 600 dollars

I completely agree, have you seen the 4k aoc monitor? 28 inches, 4k resolution https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/Rk98TW/aoc-monitor-u2879vf
honestly seems like a great deal, it also has a 1ms response time and it's only 100 dollars more than the 1440p one.

What do you think the main difference between the 3 1440p monitors is? All 3 seem to be around the same size and unpopular.

quality of the panel and the electronics behind it.
Regarding popularity, above 30" ultrawides have taken off. Check them out and see if you like them. They require more GPU power to run and less practical for viewing & working with the majority of the content out there.
