Question Which monitor to choose for a laptop and a future PC build ?

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a monitor to use with my current laptop. I plan to build a PC in the future, but since I don't have the budget yet, I'm starting with the monitor.
Main usage: work (light graphics and programming, 3D modeling), entertainment, movies, and occasional gaming.
Budget: around 200 euros, 300 max if it's a great deal.
Size and resolution: My desk isn't very deep, about 60cm, so would a 27" 1440p be suitable or should I consider a 24" instead?
I've already looked at models like the LG 27GS75Q, AOC Q27G4XD, and Dell G2725D but I'm unsure if they are good choices or if there are better options within my budget.

You should also include your location and your preferred site for purchase since this site is based in the USA. If you can provide links to your e-tailers, it helps us see what you have access to, since brand and product availability can and will vary with respect to region.

You might want to include the apps that you intend to tax for work. I'm assuming you're looking at IPS panels.

Monitors these days come with HDMI and DP, with some having USB Type-C, is there any connectivity you'd need additionally due to your laptop? Make, model and SKU of your laptop would help to see if you can tax it above 1080p on an external display.

You could get a monitor arm and then have it articulated per your layout. The monitor would need to be VESA compatible.

Regarding my location, I’m based in Italy, and I usually purchase from AmazonIT.
I didn't realize it was a US-based forum, I must have searched with a VPN active.

For work, I mainly use software like Solidworks, Catia, so color accuracy and clarity are important, but I don't need professional-grade levels. Yes, I'm looking for IPS panels, which, from what I understood, seem to be the most versatile in terms of use.

My laptop is this HP Pavilion, quite old, I believe from 2019. I think I'll replace it soon, especially since the programs I use barely run, but for now, it will have to hold up. As for connectivity, it only has HDMI 1.4b.

The idea of a monitor arm is interesting! I hadn't considered that, but it could definitely help with my limited desk depth.

Best to see some candidates in person.
Failing that, go to rtings.com for full technical reviews.

Monitors tend to be long term investments.
Bust your budget if need be for the best you can afford.
Larger/4k monitors would last you longer.
Consider a wall mount or similar to free up desk space.

I went to see some models in person over the past few days, and these are the models I found in the store.
I'd like to ask you if they are more or less equivalent or if one specific model is preferable. I couldn't notice any significant differences in the store.
I also noticed that they are available at lower prices on Amazon, so I am sharing the Amazon IT links directly.
