Hello, im looking for new monitor. Want 144hz, but my gpu only support VGA and hdmi 1.4b, so i know that 144hz is imposible. So my question is If i can run 120hz 1080p on monitor names: aoc g2460fq with hdmi 1.4 cable.
Thanks

You should be able to hit 144Hz at 1080p with HDMI 1.4b.

That depends on monitor support

So I can run on hdmi 1.4b and on this monitor 100% 1080p and 120hz?

Most monitors are limited to 60 Hz over HDMI. I don't know whether this monitor is one of the exceptions or not.
Since the question was about a aoc g2460fq monitor - yes, it's a 144Hz 1080p monitor and the HDMI 1.4b spec supports 144Hz at 1080p. Thus, it should work at 120Hz and at 144Hz refresh rates.

The version doesn't tell you what refresh rates it supports. Some HDMI 1.4 monitors support 144 Hz, some only go up to 120 Hz, some are limited to 60 Hz (i.e. VG248QE, XL2411Z). The spec supports up to 144 Hz. It is the manufacturer's choice to implement that capability or not. It is optional.
