Question Which motherboard for 14700k?

Hi all,


which motherboard would you recommend for 14700K with DDR5 64GB RAM?


1.) MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WIFI

2.) ASUS ROG Strix Z790-H Gaming WIFI

3.) GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite X WIFI7

4.) ASRock Z790 NOVA WiFi


I am open to other suggestions also.

I would say the Asrock board is the best among those 4. It even managed to get a Tom's Editor's Choice award.

Personally, I would go with the Gigabyte board, due to price.

Thank you for your answer. I am leaning towards Gigabyte also because I don't see any benefit of PCI 5 for M2, which is deducted from GPU PCI at the end.

20 pcie 5 lanes. 12th/13th gen only had 16 lanes, adding m2 would halve pcie lanes for the graphics card. Probably where the confusion came from.

By the time we need gen 5, though, that system will be considered a dinosaur.

Probably, depends on developers and where direct storage takes us. 3500 or 7Gbps should be fine for a long time but doubled even that would be interesting.
