Which motherboard for i5-750

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a new motherboard which would fit my i5-750 processor and as well give an option for further modernisation and changing the processor for newer in not very distant future. I understand that the progress in the technology is very fast, but maybe there is a chance of keeping the i5 for a bit longer on a new mobo? Its been 4 years since I was looking for a hardware so probably there's a lot of stuff I haven't heard of yet...
I dont need high end specs, although sometimes I use my comp for 3D renderings, photoshop and gaming.
Got 3x4Gb DDR3 memory, PCI-e graphic card, need about 8 usb sockets. Price range up to £120. Any ideas? Thank you for your help in advance!

If youre going to get a New motherboard youre going to need a new cpu. The only way to get that processor to work with a new motherboard would to buy an old motherboard that suppourts that cpu which dont suppourt any modern processors. Id just buy a new motherboard new ram and and cpu if you have to do it gradually its still better then buying an outdated motherboard to suppourt your cpu

you would need a socket 1156 motherboard. problem is there's 2 new sockets since then, 1155 and 1150 so they're hard to come by....

Thank you. I have started research for 1150. Asus z87 with i5 4670 is tempting.

you would need a Z series motherboard only if you plan to overclock/crossfire/sli and then you should get a K series cpu (so 4670K). otherwise a H87 would do just fine with the normal 4670.
