Hi! Reading this forum and the thread I made several days ago, I've decided to go for this (if you recommend me something to modify, be free to do it)

- Intel Core i5-4690K
- GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5
- Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR4
VIPER 4 Series 2800MHz (PC4 22400) 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 (or 4x4GB kit)
- SSD Samsung Evo 850 or 950

But my big doubt is in which motherboard to buy. Which one can you recommend me?
Thanks!
All of those parts I'll buy them in some BestBuy store in Orlando or Miami.

Solution
What I am saying is DDR4 RAM does NOT work with the processors and motherboards you are considering. Only DDR3. The processor you mentioned (Intel Core i5-4690K) is a Haswell and works on Z97 motherboards, which ONLY USE DDR3.

You would need to change your processor to a Skylake or Haswell-E and get a different chipset if you want DDR4.

And no DDR4 is not "way" better. Its newer and is more future proof, but performance wise, they are about the same at this point.

And yes if you have the money, get the i7.

Hi! Thanks for answering.
Those 3 mothers are for DDR3 memory (hero version is out of my league), so maybe I have to search for those memorys but in DDR3 instead of DDR4.
Got it with the 2x8GB thing. Some friend recommend me the Ripjaw memory. Should I stay with Fury rather than Ripjaw too?
The SSD I'll go for 850. The 950 is too expensive.

Go to MicroCenter instead of BestBuy. Please. MicroCenter is a PC store. They don't sell refrigerators. The BestBuy guys know nothing about building a rig, plus MicroCenter has in store specials -you might get the i7 4790k for the same price as you would pay for the i5 4690k.

Z97 chipset boards use DDR3 RAM, not sure what you are talking about DDR4. Only Z170/X79/X99 boards use DDR4.

This is a good Z97 board:

In MicroCenter, the i7 is 300 usd and the i5 220. But if you say it's worth the difference, I'll think about it.
So you are saying I rather go with a motherboard with DDR3 slot (like the one you said above) than with DDR4.
I cannot find the z97a gaming 7 in any webstie, already tried amazon, microcenter, bestbuy, newegg....
So I'll go for Kingston Fury X or Ripjaw 2x8GB X MHz.

I thought DDR4 ram was way better than DDR3.

Yes, I did understand the motherboard part.
For what I've seen in MSI website, there's no big difference between z97/z97A gaming 5/6/7/9 motherboards, so I'll buy the one the store has. And if I can save more money, I'll get the i7, if not, the i5.
Thanks!
