Hello,

I am looking to create my first gaming desktop. I usually do not play the new and latest games. (I am currently playing skyrim). I normally wait for games to get really cheap before I buy them, however, I want a machine that will be able to play all games for quite a long time so I am looking to spend $800-$1,200.

I found two motherboards that are great. I was wondering which one is better. One of them has integrated graphics, so I am not sure if I can attach a nvidia video card because I do not want integrated graphics, as I hear they are not that great.

Anyways, here are the links to them

^ this one is the one with integrated graphics.

I am quite new to buying parts and understanding them so please bear with me.

Thank you

I would go with the Asus. they are known for being good products. You can add an gpu on the asus for sure lol. Integrated graphics are usually not that great. Did you decide on a gpu? It all depends on your screen, and like you said you wait a while.

Sorry it took someone so long to reply to u =/

If you have a partpicker list , i would love to take a look at it.

Sorry haha it took awhile to reply as well I have been on vacation.

Anyways, the way I look or view forums is that it really is basically free, great help. So, regardless of how long a forum answer takes I appreciate it a lot!

Here's my pcpartpicker link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cBKV8d
I've already bought an ssd, hdd, ram, and a keyboard.

Looks great. You might want to add a cooler though like the evo 212, and a mouse lol. for the future you should always have sets of 2 for ram.The difference isint super super big but it is better. So, instead of a 8gb ram it should be 4x2. Also, how are you planning on downloading windows?

I see, I originally planned on getting a 4x2 not knowing they were better then a 1x8, but I thought the 1x8 crucial ballistix was good for the price. However, thank you for the advice I did not know a 4x2 is better then a 1x8.

I have no idea how I am going to get windows haha. I might just get win 7 and load the iso up on a flash drive, and boot with that as priority.

I've heard that stock heatsinks aren't bad, but aftermarket coolers are way better.

Also, do you think I will have sufficient space in the case?
