Question Which motherboard would you recommend for AMD R 7900X

I'm building a new rig. I will probably go with AMD Ryzen 7900x as the CPU.

I read the review, I'm a bit out of the loop about hardware, but I guess I don't need X670 or X670E motherboards.

Compared B650 and B650-E, I can't figure out if I need the E version and it's quite pricey compared to Asus Prime B650-PLUS AMD AM5 DDR5 which has the B650 chipset.

I will mostly use it for coding, gaming and watching videos etc. I'm not going to overclock or do any RGB lighting stuff.

The rest of the rig is like follows, Will B650 be enough?

- RTX 4070 Ti
- Samsung 990 Pro SSD
- FSP Hydro GT Pro HGT-850W 850 W Power Supply
- Kingston Fury Beast 64 GB (32x2)

Would be worth considering some active cooling across those VRM heatsinks using that CPU and board.

short version: gigabyte b650 gaming x (and b650m gaming x) seem to do a lot better than asus prime
