Hi.

I'm building a new system with a P4 (530) 3 GHz, and would like the following features available on the motherboard:

4 x PCI

10/100 LAN

USB

Firewire

x 4 (preferably x 8) AGP

2 x IDE

2 x PS2

Parallel port - printer

Audio - "good" quality

BIOS - "good" quality (overclocking, etc.)

Ideas on which motherboards I should consider would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

almost any of the newer lower end boards have those features, find the one that looks the best 😉

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

The IS7 is good, but what about the IS7?

Hi.

Thanks for suggesting the Abit IS7. The Abit IS7 is also really good - thanks for flagging it up for me! When I get the time I'll check out the IS7 as well!!

I'm also looking into the Asus P4P800-E Deluxe at the moment: it was recommended and it also seems good.

Appreciate your time (and humour!) - & good advice.

Regards, TC.

Great, that's what we need now, a bunch of IS7 fanboys!

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4 - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!
