Hello,

I am considering buying a GTX 1660 Super card for xmas. I was waiting for the latest RX 5xxx to release just in case it made big waves in the market like the Ryzen did, but judging by some reviews i don't think that'll be the case. I guess instead of directly challenging eachother, AMD and nVidia have split the market in price segments with each maker controlling a segment more or less completely.
In my case, my budget is ~200 euros, sub 300 at best. 250 is acceptable, so after reading and watching a ton of reviews, benchmarks and articles i believe the current best quality/price option is the GTX 1660 Super. I would love to get an RX 5700 but it's out of budget reach, especially here in Europe where prices are super overblown :/

The question is, which of all the available options should i try to get?
Currently, i am sold on the MSI Ventus XS OC, but there's also the Gaming X version of it (quite a few bucks more tho), then there's Gigabyte, EVGA, PNY, KFA2, ASUS, Zotag... and most of those have at least 2-3 models of the same card. I might be wrong, but the major (and only?) difference between all this is the cooling/noise solution. Maybe some general build quality with the "weirder" brands such as PNY, Zotag, but i doubt THIS will make much of a difference.

Still, i saw on a GN teardown video that the EVGA card uses some quite absurd memory cooling while a Gigabyte one has an apparently pointless plastic back plate... So there are differences, but it's hard to find more exact information on precise versions of the same card.

I'd appreciate any tips, feedback from current owners or people who have tested these cards, etc...
Thanks!

Solution
Get whichever has the best warranty in your place and the cheapest one as they will perform roughly the same way, unless you planning on overclocking. For US it's EVGA, for where I live, it's Zotac.

I'll be getting it from Amazon, so i guess "warranty" is going to be the same ...
Even Zotag have 2 versions, the regular Super and the "ampli" one, and they have ~30 euros difference in prices... Damn this stupid market nowadays 😀

Zotac AMP has slightly higher clock speeds than the Twin Fan version, and it's kinda the same for other models too with higher price tag. They come with better cooling, binned chips. ALmost not worth it unless you plan to OC. MSI Ventus XS OC is a nice card, you could get that.
