Which of these 2 HDDs are better (performance not size)

Choosing which one to install an OS on. One is bigger but older so I wanted to know if it is as good as the newer one

As long as both of them check out okay when you use SMART error testing, it doesn't make much of a difference.

Ah, I missed that. It isn't a huge issue, but it could be a problem that slowly gets worse, so I'd use the other drive just to be safe.
