Hi guys,

Im looking to get a new gaming monitor. I have currently been using an Ultrawide 29" LG screen, as much as I love the IPS display, I am now more interested in having a quicker response time and frequency. I have picked a few monitors that are in in my price range, but each is a bit different. Does anyone have any advice on any of them? Pros and Cons!

The 3 monitors are:
1) Benq XL2430
2) Acer Predator XB271(TN Panel)
3) Samsung LC24FG

I am going 24" as I want a crystal clear display as possible, I can't afford a 27" 1440p at the moment - even though my PC can run it. So, I guess another question is, should I save up? Is it really worth it? I play a mixture of Overwatch, GTA, PUBG and soon, CoD WWII.

Thanx in advance

Benq XL2430:
Great gaming monitor for e-Sports, but suffers ghosting while running 144Hz (not for beginners nor Plug-and-Play customers).

Acer Predator XB271HU (TN Panel):
Exceptionally beautiful, though it's a TN panel, but it's very expensive for a TN monitor with 2 outputs only.

Samsung LC24FG:
Good gaming monitor for that price, but suffers screen tearing in fast paced games (e.g., E-Sports).

If you can afford the Acer Predator XB271HU TN panel, get this instead: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C05C1OK/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B00NUCRBCU

That predator one is a 1440p panel. did you mean the 272? thats 1080p. I am looking into this for you sir. but as of budget, the predator one is twice the price of the other two in my region. the 1080p XB272 that is.

i know you have not listed this panel. but please take a look at the Asus VG248QE. i considered a lot of panels and ended up with this one for myself. in my region it is actually a bit cheaper then the other ones. and it comes with a Duel DVI Cable in the box. i am happy with this panel. its my placeholder before 1440P and the Volta platform :)

It reviews well. I am now just looking into if they have a newer version. I'd like to get a fairly new model if I can the VG248QE was released in 2012.

I think further my research and some comments here it seems logical to go for the Acer Predator XB241H at £365 it seems great all round.
