Hi guys I am playing Battlefield V these days. My network is a PPPoE connection. When I play on ethernet on windows default MTU size 1500(Router max is 1492) it shows almost constant packet loss. But if I plug in LAN cable directly, no more packet loss ingame on 1500 MTU.

So first thing I did was sync MTU settings for both windows and router at 1492. I played 2 rounds and it was kinda fine. In the first one it was showing some icon initially but after that one occurence I saw nothing. I will play more tomorrow to see if it fixed but I doubt it will help much since my router is a cheap ass TP LINK WR841N. I got this connection some months back, it is a 150mb up down and this router isn't gigabit anyway so I wanted to know your opinion on new router.

Which one is better?

The first part of the post is a bit confusing, you said you play on "ethernet" and then said if you plug in the "LAN cable", that is the same thing. Or did you mean to say that if you plug system to the modem without a router it is better? I like Asus for routers over Netgear in general.
