Question Which of these two low budget laptops would you recommend ?

I have the following requirements for a laptop. Based on these requirements which one would you recommend ? Which Ryzen CPU will match or exceed the performance of these two CPU’s ?

1. Surfing/Web Mail
2. Streaming Videos
3. MP3 editing
4. Multitasking listening to songs and surfing the internet at the same time.

Both CPUs were launched at the same time...mid 2020.

The one with the G7 (the Best Buy machine) is a bit more powerful and has 4 cores, compared to 2 in the other.

However, the stronger one is "open box".....that implies some risk.

8 GB of RAM shouldnt be a factor. That's what I have. I do your tasks and more with no issues.

The cheaper Asus unit has only 4 GB of RAM; that might be a problem.

I guess they are both "notebooks". I've never used one, so they might have unknown issues not found on a real laptop or desktop PC.

8GB RAM is the minimum amount of RAM nowadays.

With just 4GB RAM the SSD would suffer terribly.

Thank you for the replies. Would the Ryzen 5 4500U CPU be comparable to the i5-1135G7 CPU ? Also the i3 CPU (Asus VivoBook) comes with Windows 11 Home S but can it be used to run Windows 11 Home in regular (normal) mode fast enough with no bottlenecks ?
