hi, I have two motherboards and i need to build a PC to play Dota 2 and Overwatch 2, and more than anything else, to do multimedia stuff like watching movies and surfing internet if i have to.

The two motherboards are:

  1. Asus B250 Mining Expert
  2. ASRock H110 Pro BTC

I also have some 3200Mhz DDR4 RAM, and I have to get a CPU by selling the other one.
Maybe a 6600 or 7400.

Which mobo should i choose, and why?
i was checking the VRM , though i may be wrong, but I think the ASRock board is better since it has more phase.

Thanks

Those two are mining boards, I wouldn't bother with any of those boards, honestly. What sort of boards do you have access to?

Might want to pass on a link tot he ram kit you have access to.

Components meant for mining aren't something you should have for gaming/daily computing.

The only difference I see is Asus is 6 phase vrm, and the Asrock is 8 phase. Check to see if your DDR 4 memory is compatible with either motherboard.
those ram are working fine on both of them.

yea i know its a mining board.
the thing is ,
I am not Buying!
those are what i already have...
right now i am using the asus one. it works perfectly fine for daily tasks.
i Wonder if ASRock is better or not since i am going to sell one of them....

So the question is still open... any suggestions is appreciated

Even if you put in DDR4-3600MHz rams, your rams will effectively run at DDR4-2133MHz or DDR4-2400MHz depending on your processor(6th or 7th respectively) for both of your motherboards. You're leaving performance on the table.

i Wonder if ASRock is better or not since i am going to sell one of them....
They are the same board apart from the VRM layout. Just an FYI, more VRM's don't exactly mean a better VRM layout, it's the quality of the VRM's you need to look for. Mining boards are built with bottom of the barrel componentry and are considered expendable for the people buying them, as they recuperate the expense with said mining.

Regardless of which board you retain, they are the same.

You still haven't answered my question about what ram you're working with(if you have a ram kit). I'm assuming you can sell both boards, as well as the processor(s) and then pair a B450/B550 chipset board with a Ryzen 5600 and call it a day, assuming the rest of your parts are up to par.

those ram are not something expensive.
even the brand is unknown.
2X Ramos 3200-CL22 -8Gb

yes. i can sell both of them for a h610 Or b550.
the thing is , i already have a 12th Gen PC with a 3060ti and 32Gb ram 3600Cl16 ram

i rather not to spend any money on this pc. just build with what i already got.
and what i already got is
16 Gb ram+ 450w brand new PSU + rx580+ i3 6100+ one of those two motherboard.
which is doing job just fine. but i rather to sell one of those boards and get myself a i5 one since its Quad core.
also i should mention that i used this pc for less than 5-6 hour last month, and its not going to change in future

So basically one person thinks they both are the same and there is no difference between them. others just asked me some questions.

Anyway, since i have until Friday to decide which one to choose, and sell the other one, feel free to let me know which one you would have chosen and perhaps why 🤔
