Which one? Also problems with previous PSU

HI guys,
So I've had a problem with my previous power supply and now I need to buy a new one - but basically the 4+4 psu connector didn't fit into the 8 pin slot (only one 4 pin slot did) on the motherboard and I was using it with only one 4 pin for a year. Then this happened (images provided) :

So now I am stuck between getting two PSU's either (both tier one PSU's):

Which one is recommended and will I run into any previous problems with the 4+4 pin connector not fitting into the motherboard with either of these two power supplies.

Both are great. And gold rated. I probably like the EVGA G2 better.

Get the EVGA SuperNOVA, it has a 10 year warranty vs. 5 years with the XFX power supply.

Is the EVGA on amazon definitely the SuperNOVA G2 then?

Wait, I'm also scared about the CPU pin not fully fitting into the motherboard as I can see that it's a CPU 4+4 pin not a single CPU 8 pin. With my previous power supply only one of the 4+4 pins fitted into the motherboard which caused the damage.
