Which one is better for gaming?

Now I am on a tight budget so I could only afford to upgrade to these cards. I won't buy on newegg, I will just buy on our local supplier which sells the cheapest in the city. I have these choices:


#1 - Powercolor HD 5570 1GB GDDR3

#2 - Palit GT 630 1GB GDDR3 --> Price is about $6 more than the HD 5570

My rig is:
PROC: Quad Core FX-4100 3.6Ghz
MOBO: Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P AM3+
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333 Memory Module
HDD: Hitachi Desktar 500GB 16MB Sata 6Gbps
PSU: Generic 600W PSU

I don't want to judge by price so I need your opinion guys.

Toms lists the GDDR3 5570 two levels.over.the GDDR3 630. If it's a GDDR5 5570 it's 3 levels.

Of the two you mentioned (and assuming the 5570 features DDR3 as well) the AMD HD5570 is slightly better depending on which game you use tot test it. Here is a review of the Geforce 430GT which also features results from the 5570.

Sometimes the 5570 is faster, other times the 430GT comes out (a few FPS) ahead. Considering the AMD card is a few bucks cheaper and performance wise there's little real difference, I'd opt for the 5570. Good luck anyway!

Sorry for the insufficient info. The 5570 is GDDR3 only. Which one is better?

Youll be disappointed in both. Save up some more cash and get a 7750 at the very least. DDR3 cards do not game well period.

I'm sorry, I misread, it's the 630GT and not the 430GT you were considering. But taking that into consideration, I would still advise you to go with the AMD card.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, I can accept medium to high settings for the money. I will upgrade again if I have the money.
