Which one is better. i7 8750H+GTX1060 or i7-7700K+GTX 1070

I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop but I am confused as i have encountered 2 laptops with pricing 1800 (for i7-8750H+GTX 1060) and 2000 cad (i7-7700K+GTX 1070)
Which one should I buy?
Will the CPU generation gap make much difference?
(Also I play games like CS:GO, PUBG, and other fps games)

8750h is a better CPU. 1070 is a better GPU. I think they are both well balanced. So your choice should depend on your workload.
If you are more of a gamer and this is for gaming, the 7700k would be a better choice.
If you want good performance overall with lots of multitasking, productivity as well as gaming with a little less settings, then 8750h should be good.

Really depends on the workload. The 7700K is a desktop part, with higher clocks etc but lesser core count.

For strictly gaming, the 1070 vs 1060 is going to matter moreso than the CPU - where the 1070 is a substantially stronger GPU.

As Hellfire stated, 7700K + 1070 for the better gaming setup. The 8750H + 1060 would be more of a multi-purpose/multitasking/workstation type system.

For strictly gaming, the 200 CAD premium for a 1070 alone is completely worth it.

Are you sure it's a 7700k, not a 7700HQ?

I've never ever seen a laptop with a 7700k, I don't think they exist.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still take the 7700hq paired with a 1070 anyway if it's for gaming.

They exist, but not exactly "mainstream" - and I'd be surprised if they were in the same general ballpark pricewise as a mobile part like the 8750H.
