Hello guys,
I am building a new Gaming PC in April 2016 and I have done my research stuff but still I am confused between chipsets.
I am from India and here is only a 1000 Rupees difference between i5 4440 and i5 6400.

So which chipset in a better option for me to go with ? LGA 1150 or LGA 1151 ?
and if LGA1151 should I go with DDR3 memory or the new DDR4 Memory. By the time I will be buying only a Processor,Motherboard, Ram,Cabinet,HDD.
I am having a new Antec VP550P power supply and a optical drive.

Later I will be pairing my machine with a GTX960 4GB GPU.

So suggest me which one will be good for my needs and I want to use this new PC for about 4-5 years atleast.

Also suggest me a Good Cabinet in budget !

Thanks in advance !! 🙂 :-D

If you need/want the system to game on now just get the 960 4GB and enjoy it till it doesn't do what you want anymore and then get a GPU. If you feel like you can wait a while till Pascal is out (could be anywhere from 2-8 months) then that will get you more for you money but time is money as well so it is really all up to you.a
Look into a Micro-ATX build with a Corsair Carbide 88R or Cooler Master N200 case.

Components could look like:
Intel i5-6400
B150M/H110M DDR4 motherboard
2x4GB DDR4-2666 Mhz or higher
128-250GB SSD (Optional)
1TB HDD (Optional)
Cooler Master N200/Corsair 88R Case
Seasonic S12II 520w power supply
DVD Drive (Optional)

1151 is the way to go. Also go with DDR4 if you do get LGA 1151, 16GB seems to be a reasonable amount of RAM that will last most people a while. A large hard drive for storage and a SSD for OS(or a large SSD if you can afford it). The 960 4GB is probably going to be the weak point in this system in the future but GPU's tend to be outdated quite fast (AMD's GCN GPUs are the rare exception).

I am already having a HD6870 1GB GDDR5 GPU from AMD but this time I want to go with a Nvidia GPU kindly suggest me one !

Well there is nothing really wrong with the 960 4GB for current games. I just doubt it will be able to run new games in 2-3 years at playable frame rates, decent resolution, image quality. It is pretty hard for any GPU to last 4 years and still be able to play new games. I would just keep in mind that a GPU upgrade in 2 years might be a good idea.

So should I be planning to buy gtx 960 4gb or wait for new GPU to come ?

Thanks man ! It was really helpful 🙂

It is always better to get a single gpu that is more powerful than 2 slower ones is SLI or Crossfire. If you are gonna get 2 970s just get a 980Ti instead.
