It would be in the aspect of longevity, since i will be leaving it for long periods of time and i do not want it to just suddenly die on me while I'm away.

In terms of "longevity", there is only a percentage point or two difference in almost all the brands and models.
But your single instance may be the one that dies next week. Or it may last until 2030.

For your use case, I would not buy a WD Purple. Wrong function.
