Which One is Better?

I am looking to get a new AMD Ryzen 5 series CPU but I am unsure of which model is better. The two models I am looking at are the 1600 and the 1600x models. I am aware one comes with a fan while the other does not and that one is more costly.

The main difference I know between these two is one has higher clock speeds. Also I do plan to overclock whichever CPU I get as well.

So my question is which CPU will preform better?

Probably about the same. Ryzen CPUs all seem to max out at 3.9 to 4Ghz. What are you planning for cooling ?

check out this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4_4Tpa_cIQ no time? long story short, just get the 1600 you save a few bucks and get the same performance, seems like the 1600X OC a bit higher but thats like 50-100Mhz higher so basically no performance gain over the 1600.
