both will be around for a long while, asp.net tends to have better performance than php but requires windows server where as php is open source and can run on any machine you install a web server with php support onto.
php would be the quickest and easier of the two to get a grips with.
you will also want to learn HTML and CSS aswell for layout of the pages.
Thanks for your time, much appreciated. As I said before I have a 300 marks project and I want to score at least over 250, So can you give me some tips, tutorials or anything than can help me ? I was going to choose asp.net over php but then my friend warned me that coding in asp.net is a hassle and I might end up wasting my time and money, so I better go with PHP.
learn how to layout your webpages with dividers and CSS styling rather than using tables.
