So, I'm planning on getting a custom-built gaming PC and I came across these two; but I'm very conflicted on which one to get.
The first one costs $1350, here are the specs:
Intel® Core™ i7-12700 12th Gen. Processor
MotherboardASRock Intel B660M-HDV DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard
Memory16GB DDR4 RAM
SSD1TB NVME SSD
HDDNot Included
GraphicsRTX 3070 8GB VGA
Power Supply750 Watt Gold PSU
CPU CoolingAir Cooler

The second one costs $980, here are the specs:
Processor13th Gen. Intel Core i5-13400F (4.6 GHz Max Turbo, 10 Cores & 16 Threads, 20MB Cache Memory) Processor
MotherboardMSI PRO H610M-G DDR4 mATX Motherboard
Memory16GB RAM DDR4
SSD500GB SSD
HDDNot Included
GraphicsRTX 3060 Ti 8GB VGA
Power Supply800 Watt PSU

Is the $400 difference worth it?

Let's have some actual links to where these are to be purchased, like, the ACTUAL pages where you are seeing these options. Also, it would help to know your actual NEEDS as far as what resolution the monitor you plan to use will be, what kind of settings you intend to target, what games you want to target, and knowing something about the ACTUAL models of the power supplies involved would be INCREDIBLY important in any decision making process. Without a way to know what the exact PSU models included are, there is no way I'd even recommend in any way considering one of these machines.

What brands or vendor for these PCs? Links to them?

You could end up happy or sad with either.

Not much way of knowing how happy you might be other than by looking at gaming benchmarks and making some assumptions.....how reliable the hardware is, whether you would have a good experience with customer service from the vendor, your anxiety level about heat and cooling; power supply anxiety, your intentions about upgrading the hardware in the future, etc

Most here would try to steer you away from a pre-built. Is there ANY chance you could buy your own parts and then pay someone locally to assemble the parts for a fee??

In this case I'm not absolutely against the purchase of these units given the cost versus the hardware they come with, but that would COMPLETELY depend on WHO the company is, and more importantly, what power supply models they are including with them because if you're getting some craptastic low end garbage Antec earthwatts, Thermaltake smart series or TR2, Kolink, Corsair CS or other crap, you've just taken what might have been halfway decent and turned it into a pile of turds.

These are custom-built machines from a local store here, they don't have the manufacturers listed but I was asking about the specs in general.
