[SOLVED] Which one should i change first to upgrade?

CPU: Intel core i5 7400 @ 3.00GHz
RAM: 8.00GB Single-Channel Unknown @ 1200MHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte tech Co. Ltd. H110M-S2V-CF
GPU: 3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
i use this pc for only gaming, and i’ve been through some random frame drops that annoys me

The single memory stick is probably hurting performance. Sell your memory and buy a 2x8gb kit @2400mhz.

Also check your CPU/GPU usage, if your CPU usage is hitting 100% that will also cause dips.

Next thing to check is CPU/GPU temps, both need to be under 80C.

There was a youtube video I saw where the guy runs 1 single stick vs dual and the difference was huge in gaming performance. I would say some games there were 40% difference.

160 fps dual 2x4gb

yeah, for gaming ram would be the first thing to upgrade.
CPU and GPU are not bad for 1080p 60Hz gaming.
If the problem still remains, try reinstalling OS.

I agree. the biggest bottleneck in your system is your ram configuration.
