Which pc parts should I choose for my gaming PC?

I am going into highschool this year, and was abled to earn plenty of money over the summer via summer jobs. I got some help making a couple of lists but I don't know which parts list I should go with. Thanks!

What kind of performance do you want?

Imo save money and downgrade to a 1000 dollars build. As a student you can use the money for other things too but that's up to you. You can build a very strong PC for 1000-1200 dollars.

unless you have a 1440 or 4k monitor, I would drop to a 970 from the 980 ti, otherwise look sgood to me, id go with the skylake build.
