Which pc should i choose?

I haven't been in the pc building business to long. Only got into it when NVidia Maxwell came out.
I'm building a used system for a friend. Should I get:

I7 2600K and 2 HD 6970's in crossfire(£340)
or
I7 4770k and gtx 760 (£400)

Both are for complete systems with other components being very similar, so which one is the best value. I don't care about power consumption or heat output and no fanboyism please ;-)

neither. look on ebay for an i5 system and get a newer 2nd hand GPU.

Agreed with Fredfinks, you should definitely be able to find an i5-4460 or 4590, and still be able to afford either a GTX 960 or possibly a GTX 970.

Agree with both of the above. Certainly don't invest on an older dual gpu like your first choice. Go with the current most high end single card your budget allows.

I have found a 3570k system for £200 and an r9 380 4gb for £130 is that better?
