Which Processor and motherboard should i choose for new Build

Hi there this has been bugging me for several weeks and i need a good combination CPU and motherboard firstly i plan on doing high end gaming and i use Sony Vegas pro i need a good cpu firstly i was thinking the AMD 8350 but now im thinking the I5 3570K is the i7 worth it for my needs more expensive then the 8350 for sure but does the price comprehend the performance it supplies im not particularly fond of the power consumptions the 8350 gives out but i need a good upgrade from my currant ( AM3 ) Phenom 2 ( 955 ) and GTX 460 768Mb i have a £600 Budget for the build which i have been saving for also i havent installed an Intel CPU since the pentium 4 days but i presume the process is very similar to installing an AMD CPU

Yer sorry mate these are the components i'm scavenging from my old Build

128GB Toshiba SSD
2000GB sata Harddrive
Sata DVD Rewriter
8GB DDR3 1333mhz

The case would need replacing as its not in good shape so all i would need is a good motherboard cpu and high end graphics card also i'm presuming the PSU may need upgrading as it cuts out sometimes on full load and being 4 years old proberly needs replacing lol

i3 3570k has 4 cores with 4 threads (1 per core) with LGA-1155 socket (ivybridge or third gen Intel Core i processors). Its price is $224.99. [Sorry but you may convert $ into desire currency]
i5 4670k has 4 cores with 4 threads (1 per core) with LGA-1150 socket (haswell or fourth gen Intel core i processors). Its price is $239.99.

Now for i7:
i7 4770k has 4 cores with 8 threads (2 per core) with LGA-1150 socket (haswell or fourth gen Intel core i processors). Its price is $329.99

Now question is i5 4670k is good enough for gaming but looking at your future needs with games utilizing maximum cores and threads, you'll have advantage in i7 4770k because of eight threads.

In MHO you'll be better off with i7 4770k but given the budget consideration you may like to go for i5 4670k.

My advice would be similar to the above (VMN's build).

If you spend more on an i7 you wouldn't get a good graphics card.

I prefer Asus over MSI in general, but looking at reviews and customer feedback online shows them to be roughly similar. There are some small Pros and Cons likely between them such as possible audio codec differences.

Without doing more research I'd probably err on the side of Asus' better reputation of quality motherboards.

Asus has customer support, since when? :lol: Their CS is horrible. Asrock has been good to me though.
