Question Which Processor is better for gaming AMD A4 - 5300 APU or Intel Core i5 2400

Hey guys which processor do you think is better for gaming AMD A4 - 5300 APU with Radeon HD graphics or Intel core i5 2400
by the way i'm new to toms hardware forums

That is a bit of a blanket statement. Please note AMD processor £30 and Intel £120
That AMD is NOT as good as the Intel, but there are many AMD's that are BETTER than Intel.

The i5 2400 is far cheaper than that, on Ebay anyway.

Obviously it is now, its like 7 years old - but when it came out (which is what the link shows) it was 4 times the cost of the AMD chip he is comparing it to.
The same as comparing the 200GE to an i5-8400 - 4 times the price - can't compare.

it's like comparing a chevette to a camaro. a very silly comparison, of COURSE the intel wins in this case. If he said R7 2700X vs i5 anything, its AMD in that case.--again, a silly compare

i would still get a descrete video card, don't count on much gaming with either of the ones the OP listed.

I second ^. None of them are good for gaming unless OP meant to combine with a discrete GPU.

Yea, a discrete card is definitely required, in this case. You can somewhat get by, with the IGP of a 2200g, or 2400g, but beyond that, no.

Define cheap. What might be cheap to some, might not to you. An RX 570 is generally considered a great budget card though.

Instead of asking a bunch of questions you should edit your first question with what you really want to know instead of asking several things with incomplete information.

What is your budget for the system and what parts do you already have if any? Do you have a monitor? If you do what is the brand and model of it? What country are you in?
