Upgraded to a Haswell CPU and Z87 Motherboard as there is really no reason for you to buy parts behind one generation. The PSU I selected is a solid, modular PSU built by Seasonic, one of the absolute best PSU manufacturers around.

i assume you kept the z77 chipset for sli in the future but you could go with this and it will still support and you wouldnt have to upgrade the psu
it also has the haswell i5 and z87 mobo

Is the Haswell a big improvement? i may have already ordered a processor, there was something going on with the order process so I'm not too sure. Also modular is just for less mess and better airflow? how does that work, are cables detachable with modular that are not with non modulars? thx for the input guys.

if you already ordered it haswell has about a 7% performance increase over ivy bridge so i wouldnt worry about it
modular psu can be for good air flow but if you have good cable management it doesnt really matter so long as they are out of the way. imo you can get the same airflow with none modular with good case management it is really for case cleanliness. and the cables you dont use you just wouldnt attach to the psu so it would be like 1 sata line 1 molex line that wouldnt be connected in your case. so its not really that big of a deal when you can just run the extras around the side of the hdd rack and ziptie them to it for good airflow

Get this XFX 550W withh 44 amps on the 12v rail , more than enough power even if your card is overclocked.
