dude.....get a coolermaster realpower 550...they tested it here and it passed all their stress testing....it's THG approved...so enjoy......but then again..i have 5HDDs 2 Opticals a insane overclock and one xfx 7800gt running on a Antec SmartPower 500 v2.0. So what would i know

omg, please, coolermaster PSU's are sub par compared to OCZ or Antec.

For one, you have no basis to that arguement so i'll end that there(meaning no more discussion between you and i on this subject) Just becuase you're partial to something it doesnt make it better. i for one WONT buy a power supply other than antec BUT, that's because i've never had one go bad(not even my sp350 from 5 years ago). for two, http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/02/07/5_power_supplies_get_the_full_juice_treatment/ that's the link where it was tested amongst some of the industry's TOP power supply units and the coolermaster came out on top. Therefore,(in the immortal words of Raul from Fist Of The North Star) I Win, You Lose, The Question is Why?. And i have an answer for you...it's cuz you're ignorant...do your research before you state a claim. and if you talk outta your ass be ready to back it up.

Nicely done. And to those of you who say you NEED a 600-700W psu for "insane overclocks" or "sli"..... you don't. I had 2 7800gtx's overclocked, an opty 165 @ over 3ghz, but currently running @ 2.9ghz stock vcore. 6 HDD's, 2 optical drives..... and so on..... all running on an Antec Neo Power 480W. The MAX the PSU ever draws from the wall is 330W. So with that number we can assume that with a 70-75% efficiency rating the system is using around 230-250W. Now if you are going to X-Fire 2 1900XTX's you might want a 500-550.... but it would probably be fine without it. When I talk about a max draw, I am talking about p95 both cores, video stress test, and read/writes on all 6 hdd's. That is how I measured it.... I didn't really bother with the optical drives because what I was doing was already more than I would ever stress it in real life.

agreed. but coolermaster PSU's in general do not stand up to Antec OCZ, or other larger brand names.

In my experience with them. The RealPower series of CoolerMaster PSUs are extremely well built. and moreso than that...have you ever owned or worked w/one?
