A Corsair CX650M is still bad?
It's better than the VS and the 500w Evga. Another option is Seasonic the S12II or M12II are good.
The VS might not even power that and depends on the model of the EVGA but most of their 500 watts are bad.
Your spending a lot of money on parts buy a good power supply.
Depending on where you live here are some decent power supplies for a fairly low cost.

"My build has a 1080 and a i7-7700k" so a decently high end rig. Why are you looking at mediocre budget PSUs? The PSU is a crucial component and a bad place to skimp.
