Which of the PSU's below are the best/safest for the money.
(I have read the thread on classes of PSU unfortunately not all of us have thousands of pounds to spend on our computers.) Never the less, my PC is always plugged into a surge protector.

EVGA 500w Bronze 50+ PSU (http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-500B-BRONZE-Power-Supply/dp/B00DZ6R9GE)
Corsair VS550w 50+ (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-VS550-Plus-Power-Supply/dp/B00TE4XSMA)
Corsair CX500w 50+ Bronze (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009RMP2VE/?tag=pcp0f-21)
be quiet! System Power 8 500w (http://www.amazon.co.uk/quiet-SYSTEM-POWER-500W-supply/dp/B018ILWI52)
Thermaltake Smart SE 530W 80Bronze ( https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Power+Supplies/Modular+650W+or+less/Thermaltake+Smart+SE+530W+80%2B+Bronze+Efficiency+Modular+PSU+14cm+Fan+AFPC+ATX2.3+?productId=63397 )

Thanks

Yeah, I'd personally still go for the EVGA one.

How come? I thought the bronze corsair was gonna be the choice people went though if I'm being honest.

The EVGA 500B has not been reviewed by a professional yet, but the 600B has, which uses Taiwanese capacitors of the brand Teapo. The EVGA 600B is a mediocre performer. The Corsair CX uses Capxon capacitors, which are not as good as Teapo. Between the EVGA and the Corsair, I'd also take the EVGA.
