Hey guys been looking at pretty much every r9 270x card available but really dont know what card to pick. Was gonna have the toxic but case dimensions too small to cram it in there.

Which leads me after extensive research to pick the sapphire vapor x 2gb let me know what you guys think, will be playing bf4 mainly in 1600x900 resolution.

Current specs:
I5 2500
asus p8(z77) mobo
8gb corsair vengeance clocked at 1600mhz
antect 550w psu

Thanks to any info/suggestions :)

same performance as 270x but its cheaper :) my friend has 270 and 270x he told me that this both cards has same potential so R9 270 would do rather than R9 270x

I think it is already solved by the MSI. because my friend doesnt experience any screen flickering problem. he plays BF4, Black Flag, Saints Row IV, Skyrim, etc..
but if you are doubting MSI you can do Sapphire R9 270 Vapor-X much better than Dual X

270 is worth getting over 270x it can perform the same even not OC'd

have you watched the video i linked for you? they explained when you OC the R9 270. well overclocking is like a chemistry you need to try little by little increasing clocks as it works perfectly and not causing errors :)

Yeah I watched the video linked and the r9 270 does sound like a good option just wanted to know if I can over clock it to a 270x equivalent on stock cooler or will it just kill it because if so I would probably go for the MSI 270x gaming edition as I like the sound of that card :)

yes you can OC it w/ stock fan. just like I said its like chemistry :) and even you don't do OC it can still play head to head with 270x :)

Sweet maybe I should pick up a 270 then as most people have been saying that the x is only like a difference in 2-4 fps plus if I can over clock it to match for cheaper then its a win win and MSI seems like a good card to have :)

If I'm correct won't it come with MSI gaming app that over clocks at push of a button?? Coz I know the 270x does
