I know some are clocked higher but im sure they can all be Overclocked equally anyways so which is the safest and most reliable? I own the MSI version but may trade it because there are hardly any good reviews on the R9-280x only bad reviews saying they explode, catch fire, fry CPU`s and motherboards, fans flying off, oil exploding shooting everywhere as if an oil rig broke, and so many other problems If someone can give me some facts that these 280X chips are reliable or heck even safe to have in a house i would appreciate it. Why is there so many bad reviews on almost every GPU on newegg i even see the R9-295X2 and GTX TITAN have the worst reviews and almost no good review why does every GPU on newegg no matter the brand, chip, or date it is it has more bad than good, why is that???

Part of the problem is people tend not to write user reviews of products they bought if everything goes well. Most of the people who do write reviews do it after they have problems, so you do get a biased sample. As such, it may be wise to take user reviews with a grain of salt, and only get concerned if you have say 100 of them for a given product all saying they die within a month or something like that.

I personally have had a bad experience with MSI's RMA service, so pray you don't have to use them if you decide to keep your card. If you're really worried about reliability, simply don't overclock at all. Overclocking your GPU only offers minor gains, and may not be worth the risk compared to the reward.
All the cards perform nearly same.. but u should go for the sapphire tri-x oc version becoz it has better cooling potential and u can overclock it more effectivily

Thanks :) And the MSI is highest stock clock out of the rest i think. I am only going to be playing Skyrim with Realvision enb so i prob wont need to OC will i? And any thing 15-20FPS amazes me cause i play skyrim on PS3 with a huuuuge save of 24MB and it runs at 10fps :'(

I have an R9 280 from MSI and as of yet I had a problem with it because of a video driver somehow getting borked. I did some things I shouldn't have however, so that could be entirely my fault. As far as performance goes, I can run GTA V on high settings at 1080p, so I think you'll be fine. I'm looking to upgrade to a R9 390x though so I may trade soon as well. Hope this helped!
