which RAM for a gaming rig?

just looking into ram and these 2 have the exact same price but i dont know enough to decide which better suits my purpose. any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

What CPU and mobo, ifIntel or a FX based AMD rig, I'd go the 1866

To be perfectly honest, neither. 2x4GB is already OVERKILL. I'd go with 1600 or 1866 2x4GB. You get vastly diminishing returns past 8GB if only using for gaming.
