I found a good deal on Frys recently for a i7 7700k and Gigabyte z270x Gaming 5 kit. I went ahead and purchased those and they will be arriving within the next week. All i need is to pick new ram and my rig will be complete. I'm in no way an expert on RAM so I was just wondering which would be best for my CPU and MOBO. I want to make sure its compatible of course. I was looking at either Corsair Vengeance or G. Skill Ripjaws V . My friend said he prefers the Ripjaws V since it is 2800 mhz speed. Just wondering if the difference in speed is really that big of a deal. I saw a video on youtube that said it wouldn't hurt to get 3200 since I'm getting an i7.

RAM from 2666-3200 is different by <$10, 3200 it is, you will need cooler for that CPU:

Yes i already have a SilverStone Watercooler so I'm fine there. And I believe I only need 1 stick of 8GB ram for right now and I could buy a 2nd one later on. Unless that generally isnt a smart thing to do? Not really sure
