Hey guys, I ran into a little problem trying to decide which ram should I buy to upgrade my laptop.

Currently I have 4gb stick with another 2 gb stick, they're both running at dual channel. I'm planning to remove the 2gb stick and add another 8gb stick to make it 12gb. I'm doing this because of budget cut :). Here's the specs of the 4gb stick since I'm planning to keep it:
http://www.memorybenchmark.net/ram.php?ram=Kingston+TSB16D3LS1KBG%2F4G+4GB&id=4339

I've been struggling to choose between these two:
G.Skill 1600 CL 11

G.Skill 1600 CL9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231704&cm_re=laptop_ram-_-20-231-704-_-Product

Right now the CL 9 is cheaper for some reason but I'm not sure if I can dual channel if the specs have too much differences? Also, what speed and CL will my rams be running at if I'm buying either of these?

Can you guys give me some suggestions on which one is better?

Many thanks! :)

If you have two kinds of memory, the fast one always gets slowed to the speed of the worst one. Sometimes they will not work together at all.
I would buy 2x4GB sticks 1600 CL9 as a matched pair , and put your old memory on Ebay

Very few things need more than 8GB of RAM, especially in a laptop. But if you are the exception, get 2x8GB sticks 1600 CL9 as a matched pair instead.
