Im going to buy a video card Msi gaming x rx 480 will that be compatible? My motherboard has slot pcie 3.0 x16.

You shouldn't have any issues with compatibility, all Rx 480's use a PCI-E x16 slot. You can choose either a 4gb or 8gb version, both will use the slot on your motherboard. Let me know if you have any other questions

You don't want a 480 if your budget is in the 250.00 price range, you will also want a good psu to get it going.
