Question Which SATA data cable do I use for my optical drive?

I'm building a new PC and reusing my optical drive. It had a red SATA cable connected to it. My motherboard comes with SATA 6 GB/s cables and ports Should I use the data cable that comes with the motherboard instead of the other that was being used by the optical drive? Thanks

you can use ether of them, if you like the color of the old one then use it. they will both do the same thing.

Color does not matter.
I will use different color sata cables to each device so I can identify which connection I am using.
