Which should buy?

So i am looking for a new CPU, and want the best performance for gaming. I am in a back and forth over to get the i7 6700k or the i5 6600k. I only game, but do occasionally create a video of highlights on YouTube. I will be getting a H60 cooler for which ever i get and the Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, and ram at DDR4-3200. I want the best performance i can get but i saw a few videos and articles saying these two CPUs are really close to each other in framerate while gaming.

i5 has always been for gamers, i7 is totally unnecessary when just gaming, it's main purpose is for designers or video editors that need a stronger CPU over a stronger GPU which is the case of a game.

Bottom line:
if you decide to get either one of those processors just know that it will come down to your GPU

I have a R9 390X currently but may get a 1070/1080
