Hi, I will upgrade my GPU (I have a gtx 1050ti) but I don't know which one I should go for. I know the rx580 4gb has a better performance than the rx570, but I don't know if 4gb VRAM will be enough in the next few years. And here in Argentina the rx 580 4gb and rx570 8gb are about the same price (rx580 8gb is quite more expensive, so it's not an option). I'm planning to play in 1080p the next few years.
So guys, which one should I buy?

Solution
Honestly, the performance gain is good but you could experience some stuttering due to the lack of VRAM so I'd go 570 8GB it's actually what I am buying soon.

I hate to say this but ... it depends
are u going to play VRAM demanding games?
currently i have the RX 590 8GB and i never go over 3 VRAM usage (the reason is i play low VRAM demanding like R6 and CSGO) so it depends on how u going to use it.
I would personally go RX 590 4GB.

I'll play r6 but I also would like to play more recent games. Now with 4 VRAM is ok, but I won't upgrade my GPU in 2-3 years. So I don't know how much VRAM I am going to need in the futur

I see, you also have to consider stretching your money getting the RX580 8gb version or the RX590 because it's a bit future proof and through software updates and Care with AMD it is currently running good with new games since it is well provided by updates and are being optimized as well, the GTX 1060 6gb before was good than the RX580 however after the release of the 1660 or the RTX and with the updates the 1060 started to suck over time.

For me RX580 8gb is the best deal however if money is really limited then follow your hear what it says RX570 it is, but if you can stretch a little bit then go for a hardware that gives you advantages and also that will last longer.

I am not a AMD fanboy or Nvidia currently running Ryzen 7 1700 and GTX 1060 6gb however I notice the performance of the GPU started to doze off with the recent updates, that's why I stick with the Nvidia force ware 416.19 version or the 399 version because it was good.

I would like to buy it, but I can't afford it. So I'll go for the rx 570, thank you
