Which sounds better?

I'm using Sennheiser PC 363D's and they come with the 3.5mm jacks but also a usb connector that can be switched to 7.1. However i do not use surround sound and i was wondering which would sound better, wiring through that and using the usb connector or putting the 3.5mm jacks straight into the pc.

I have an ASUS ROG Hero motherboard which has SupremeFX audio built in.

You will have to listen for yourself, I think the 35mm would sound better but honestly I would rather suggest just getting a cheap Creative sound card and plugging it into that over USB. The Sound card will greatly improve the quality !
