Hi! I am up to get a new speaker, and I can't decide which would be better for me.
I can't chose between this two: Genius SW-G2.1 3000 or Genius SW-G5.1 3500.
5.1 is better then 2.1 and which one could be louder? Thank you for Helping me!

ps.: srry for my English

Solution
No. The 2.1 will sound better and be louder.
The only advantage of the 5.1 system is surround sound, and you lose that if the speakers are not placed correctly.
A 5.1 system is only useful if you want to setup the surround speakers in the right location.
As far as volume, the individual satelite speakers and the sub are more powerful in the 2.1 system.
Of the two, I would choose the Genius SW-G2.1 3000 unless you particularly want surround sound and are prepared to correctly place the speakers.

And what if i have a very big tabel where I can put the 5 speaker in front of me. It could be better then the 2.1 right?
thanks for reply!

Okey Thanks! I go with the 2.1.. 😀

Check out z-reviews or really any HiFi website for more info. Anyone recommending Logitech speakers should have their hearing checked. Or simply haven't heard good sound. This sort of thing plagues the pc community.

For the record the z906 is a THX certified speaker which someone with experience would know what it means.

THX certified doesn't mean very much.
I previously tried the Z623 system, which is the 2.1 equivalent of the Z905 and also THX certified. They sound terrible.
These systems have small satellites and a big sub. They have boomy bass down in the range under 100 Hz, and very weak response in the 100 Hz to 250 Hz range.
For gaming or movies it is tolerable. The explosions shake the room and this seems mostly to be what THX are looking for.
For music, you're better off with a good stereo system most of the time (without a sub).

yes , of course it is clear that stereo is the best option for the music listening but what i'm trying to say is when it comes to movies and games there's nothing tasty like a good bass, for example when you shot someone in the game you want to feel that you're in there, well THX means that the speaker succeed in that matter. and for the 5.1 set i just recommended it because they're too loud and suitable for gaming and watching movies and it also has a 3D effect for stereo sounds.
