Which do i go for? I think the Dual Core will be able to do stuff like video encoding faster, but for everything elce, which pc will run faster?

Really depends on what you will use the computer for? What will the primary use for this PC? Running lots of simultaneous tasks? Gaming? Surfing the net/word processing? Tell us what you do and we can help you out more...

sounds like dual core will help you. the 3700+ is better for things like gaming.
beware intel processors run very hot. try getting more mooney for the x2 3800+

I know, i would rather have the X2 3800, but as i only have £700 ($1200) and buying prebuilt, as i dont think i could build one, i can only really get one of those, or any other i can find in Comet, but the rest arent very good :/
