The second, since there's a direct path of airflow from the outside ambient air though the components before it exits out the top and rear venting. The aquarium style of cases rely on the air coming in from the side, to make a 90 degree bend and then proceed to the top/rear exhausts.

Mesh front is typically considered superior from an airflow point of view. But that first chassis in particular offers a decent bottom intake and excellent top exhaust potential.

A lot depends on the hardware you install.

Putting an AIO into the mix changes things. Top exhaust, decent. Side intake, well, now your only source of air is now coming in heated. Not that big a deal as long as the GPU is long enough to sit above that bottom intake and has a pass through design the flow will still be decent.

Pure airflow setups with no AIO or water cooling radiators, I think they would show similar performance overall.

Of course there are front mesh cases with much more open mesh for better flow and even larger chassis with side intake like that, even some that also have front intake.

I want to place a 360 AIO in the front, because my gpu is so much cooler than my cpu

As long as you add sufficient exhaust fans to get the combined CPU and GPU heat out of the chassis, yes.
