Hello people, i'm in need of a ups for my system. Just something that'll give me a quick 5 mins to shut it down.
specs are as follows
R9280x
Fx8320
Antec vp550 psu
GA 970A DS3P mobo

Would be great if the part can be found on flipkart.com or Amazon.in

As always, thanks in advance!

It looks good indeed: it has two 12V / 9Ah batteries, so I can asssume its power rating is legit. It also has a 2-year warranty period, so you should be covered.
Thanks a lot for replying!

But would I really need that just so I can buy myself enough time to altf4 everything and shut down the pc safely?

Like 2-3 mins should be good, I think those are kind of overkill.

But if you disagree then I will go for them.

Your system will draw at full load 400W; factoring in the PSU efficiency (at least 80%), the PC will draw up to 500VA from the wall (the PSU has Active PFC). Adding the monitor/speakers, you can expect at least 550VA power consumption (I am assuming that all peripherals have also Active PFC). The efficiency of a Line Interactive UPS (the cheapest ones) is quite low, up to 70% for the best models, so you'll need at least an 550VA / 0,7 = 786VA. You could get away with a good 800VA UPS (APC) or a lower-spec 1000VA UPS; you'll have around 5 mins back-up time at full load.

Of course, if your system is spending most of its time at idle, a lower power rating UPS can be used, but if the power outage is occuring exactly when the PC is at full load, the UPS will abruptly cut the output, as it cannot supply the required amount of power.
