So basiclly, i tried overclocking my ryzen 5 1600 with stock cooler. I managed to get it to 3.6ghz. But i keep getting insanely high temps when playing something remotely cpu heavy. For example if i play R6 it gets to 80 under 10 min. I kept researching on how to reduce the heat without giving up my 3.6 and the only answer was to reduce the voltage. But ryzen master and
CPUID HWMonitor show different voltages. Ryzen master shows CPU Voltage : 1,2375. While HWMonitor shows CPU VCORE: 1.330 and CPU VDD(node 0) shows roughly the same around 1.340. So my first question is : Which one of those should i trust? Upon researching all i find is people pushing it even further with the same cooler (3.7-3.8 with 70-65 temps with stress tests).I understand that it has several factors so i shouldnt compare the result directly but i still think it should show a general idea of what the cooler is capable of.
Motherboard : Asus PRIME B350-M PLUS(newest BIOS)
RAM: 16g corsair kit at 2,800mhz with custom timings
