Which will work for this CPU?

I'm about to buy an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz and I've read so many reviews on motherboards that I'm just plain confused 😳

Which motherboard will you guys recommend for this processor? Something that will allow me to overclock this processor.

I've looked at some ASUS boards, but the ones "I think" will work with this processor have SLI features that I won't be using.

I'd appreciate if you can give me some pointers here.

Are you looking to overclock? If so, save some money and get the E4400. It overclocks like a champ, has the same mulitplier as the E6700 but with half the cache which for the cost difference, isn't a big deal.

A very good inexpensive aftermarket heatsink is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Unless you plan on oc'ing to the max, this cooler is sufficient.

As far as mobo, I agree with prozac26. I have the GA-965P-DS3. Only downside is that is has only 4 usb ports and no firewire. But an expansion card can take care of that if needed.
